You may even hear them speak against homosexuality. Memphians are not the most sophisticated people. We got snooty looks in Collierville, but who doesn't? Midtown is the place where you would want to live as the people are more tolerant west of Highland Ave, and the environment is a lot more urban. There are no violent gay bashings like you would in Atlanta or other gay meccas. Its funny when you meet people here. Memphis is a great city.
