Transphobia Transphobia refers to fear of or prejudice and discrimination against people who are transgender or who are perceived to transgress norms of gender, gender identity or gender expression. DCAC is a high-energy swim team and social club whose mission is to promote competitive and fitness swimming for lesbians, gays and their friends in a team-oriented, professionally-coached setting. Rainbow Society seeks to empower its members, unite LGBTQ and ally students on campus and gather students through numerous social events. Rainbow History Project works to collect, preserve, and promote an active knowledge of the history, arts, and culture relevant to sexually diverse communities in metropolitan Washington, DC. The process of transitioning from one gender to another is called gender reassignment. Through a synthesis of interpersonal interaction and community involvement, we aim to promote a more productive GBTQQ community and an enlightened understanding of gay urban living.

Delta Lambda Phi is a national social fraternity for gay, bisexual and progressive college students and recent graduates and the Alpha chapter in DC was its first chapter. Biological females who wish to live and be recognised as men are called female-to-male FTM transsexuals or trans men. Front Runners performed a dance number following the Pride Run 5K. A broad-based, national, interfaith movement that brings the moral force of religion to protect and advance reproductive health, choice, rights and justice through education, prophetic witness, pastoral presence and advocacy.
